Colmar, a town of culture, tourism and gastronomy
Colmar lies at the centre of mid-Alsace near to Germany and Switzerland – between Strasbourg and Basel, the Vosges mountains and the Rhine. Despite its eventful history, the town has been able to preserve the unusual consistency of its historic centre. This has been declared a listed site and has been extensively restored. The pedestrian zone – one of the largest in Europe – allows visitors to see and admire the many riches of its cultural heritage.
