On the tracks of Paracelsus

Theophrastus Philippus Aureolus Bombastus Paracelsus von Hohenheim ? a man with an unusual name who lived in Basel during an extraordinary period of history! The radical social and other changes that accompanied the foundation of the university, the invention of printing and the Reformation attracted many major figures to our city.
Among them was Paracelsus, who for a time was Town Physician in Basel. A visit to the Pharmazie-Historisches Museum also shows the city.s links with other important physicians such as Felix Platter or Andreas Vesal.
