Preservation and back-breeding of old breeds of animals
The bones of animals found in excavations tell us a lot about Roman breeds of animals. Here, in the animal park, we show old breeds, some of which are today threatened by extinction. There are woolly-haired pigs, small cattle, Nera-Verzasca goats, Alpine sheep from Graubünden, Italian chickens and guinea fowl, peacocks, geese and large donkeys. At the moment we are not in the position to keep horses.
