Kneipp baths and tobogganing

Open all year round, closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
How much ?
Low-priced menus available.
Langenbruck is a special case in several respects. The village at the apex of the pass, which is the only Basel-Country commune that lies on the other side of the watershed to the Rhine, is the last spa town in the canton still to levy a spa tax on its guests.

Not only the chronic lack of snow has caused the once-flourishing winter tourism to suffer. The ski lifts, ski jump and most of the guest houses and hotels are still there, but you will search in vain for the throngs of tourists in Langenbruck.

Recently, something has been done to attract more visitors to the upper Hauenstein area with the construction of a Kneipp fitness trail, a sculpture park and a summer toboggan run.

Among the many hotels and restaurants, we can recommend the Bachtalen or Dürstet restaurants as being particularly family-friendly. The Dürstel mountain restaurant not only has a children’s meal on the menu it also offers something in the way of entertainment for restless children with a play area around the house and a barbecue area on the neighbouring Spaleneggli.
