The trains in circulation today remind one more of a metropolitan tramway, than a regular train composition.
| During three Sundays a year, normally in the months of July, August and September, the Waldenburg Railways offer public "Nostalgia" trips with a steam driven engine and a number of restored, historic coaches. The steam engine "Gedeon Thommen" dates back to the year 1902 and has been totally restored. The journey, accompanied by a variety of Aperitifs, lasts approx. one hour. Special journeys for groups of up to 100 persons can be arranged at all times during the summer months. |
