Discovering Basel is a feast for all senses and full of surprises! The Old Town is one of the best preserved and most beautiful in Europe! Art ranks high on Basel’s list of priorities: more than thirty museums, art objects and many modern structures designed by world-famous architects manifeste the wealth of Basel’s cultural heritage in every corner of the city.
Baselland, in Switzerland also known as Baselbiet with its sites as Augusta Raurica, Bad Ramsach or the aerial cable car at Wasserfallen for marvellous hiking trough the Jura- Mountains.
Colmar, a cultural, touristic and gastronomic town
The capital of Alsace Centre, near Germany and Switzerland, Colmar (roughly 67,000 inhabitants) is situated between Strasbourg and Basel, and the Vosges and the Rhine.
Freiburg is the cultural, economic and administrative centre of South Baden and, as such, is the pivotal point for the Upper Rhine region that transcends national borders. Freiburg is also the gateway to Black Forest.
As one of the dominant centres of Alsace, Mulhouse plays a prominent cultural and economic role in the region. Europe comes alive here in the form of a bustling town.With its Place de l’Europe Mulhouse has clearly grasped the ethos of the community of states.
